Holders Sefton Park 3rd XI made it through to the Finals Day of the Mike Dunn T20 Trophy after winning a low-scoring thriller at Wallasey.
Batting first, the visitors posted a modest total of 108-7 with valuable middle order runs coming from Shadab Khan (24) and Rajiv Bhardwaj (19). Wallasey looked very comfortable until Mark Boyns removed both openers before going on to take 3-16 from his four overs with Rajiv also taking 2-12 to set up a nerve wracking final over from which ten runs was required. Ronan Brady bowled tightly to seal a two run win and Sefton return to Finals Day along with Superkings, Ormskirk and Northern. Date and venue TBC.
