Sefton Women fell to their first defeat of the season in the Lancashire 40 Over League at top of the table Ramsbottom yesterday.
Ramsbottom scored an imposing 194-7 with Eleanor Sinker taking 3-3, Sarah John 2-21 and Caitlyn Summers 2-57.
Sefton's reply slipped to 46-5 before Sarah (28) and Eleanor put on 50 for the sixth wicket. There was faint hope whilst Sinker kept going but she was eventually ninth out for 60 from 45 balls and Sefton were bowled out for 147 in the 32nd over. Maeve Jones finished with the impressive figures of 6-28 for Ramsbottom.
