Sunday 1st September - Women win but loss for Sunday JW XI

Sefton's Women's 1st XI warmed up for their Lancashire T20 Cup final with a thumping win over Hightown St Mary's in the LCF Women's 40 Over League.

Caitlin Summers (38), Sarah Jon (36), Alice Kelly (32) and Laura Stringman (24) got the runs as the women posted 193 all out. Two wickets apiece for Sarah John, Sarah Jackson and Alice Kelly saw Hightown dismissed for 96 with the win meaning Sefton ae second in the table.

The Sunday XI JW travelled to Orrell Red Triangle in the 3rd XI (Sunday) Premier Division. The hosts won the toss and decided to bat and declared on 193-5 with Ian Dawes (4-45) the pick of the bowlers. Mike Lowe (25) and Andy Fallows (25) top scored for Sefton who were bowled out for 127.
