The First XI welcomed Maghull to Sefton Park.

The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. This decision seemed justified as their openers went on to put on 113 for the first wicket. They, then, progressed steadily and with Sefton finding it difficult to take the last two wickets, they declared on 217 for 8 in 64 overs.

Tom Spilsbury finished with 4 for 87 and Peter Kelly 3 for 71.

in reply, Sefton put on 48 for the second wicket and 37 for the third but with the score at 97 for 5, the result was in the balance. For the sixth wicket Chris Bellis and Matt Young (36) put on 78. in the end Chris Bellis remained undefeated on 79 and Tom Spilsbury 13 not out as Sefton achieved a draw finishing just 7 runs short on 210 for 7 in 50 overs.

Earlier Ben Percival had scored 33

The First XI remain seventh in the table

The Second XI travelled to Wigan, looking to get back to winning ways.

Sefton won the toss and decided to field first.

The home side got off to a good start, putting on 58 for the first wicket but after that, it needed a last wicket stand of 30 to take them to 165 for 9 declared. in 49 overs.

Naimat Karyab took 3 for 37, Dave Kelly 2 for 65 and Raj Bharwaj 3 for 11

Sefton's reply was fairly rapid and they passed the Wigan total in the 29th over with 6 wickets down

Kaash Patel scored 79, Luke Connolly 43 and Chris Slater 22


Sefton are in third place in their table


The Third XI played Noerthern's Fourths on the Lower Ground.

Sefton won the toss and decided to bat firstt.

Alex Woods scored 55, Joash Vinu 75, Rhys Owens 22 and Andy Aitchison 20 to enable them to declare on 257 for 7 in 41 overs.

In reply Faisal Malikzai took 5 for 39, Chris Salmon 2 for 31 and Ronan Brady 2 for 23

to dismiss Northern for 120 in 38.1overs

With three games left, the Thirds are 20 points behind top team Merseyside Sports and Cultural but with a game in hand.

The Fourth XI, still looking for their first win put on one of their best performances as they made the trip to Haydock to play Goodlass

Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first.

Rahul (75), Adam Ahmed (22) and Ibrahim Ahmed 28 were top scores as they made 195 in 46.3 overs.

Sefton came close to a result as Goodllass passed the total with 7 wickets down in the 36th over. Best bowlers were Loca 2 for 38 and Siddhant 2 for 24
