The First XI travelled to Wigan to play Highfield where the home side won the toss and decided to bat first. Sefton took some early wickets and the home side were 98 for 5 just before rain intervened. When play returned they went on to declare on 164 for 8 in41 overs.

Huzaifa Zubair finished with 4 for 43 and Jimmy Dixon 2 for 42.

This left Sefton with 37 overs in reply. but they were unable to reach the Highfield total despite skipper Paul Horton scoring 65, George Lee with 20 was next best as they finished on 138 for 7 in a drawn game.

The Second XI welcomed Northern to Sefton Park. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first, a decision that they possibly regretted with the score on 4 for 3 but a stand of 54 for the fourth wicket relieved their worries. Pete Ostler, then, entered the attack and took 5 wickets for 46 runs as Northern were dismissed for 116 in 34.1 overs, Asiri Gamage took 3 for 39

The total looked one that Sefton could beat but they soon lost early wickets and were soon 38 for 4, Pete Ostler came in and scored 35 with little support and was out with the score on 73 for 7. Manesh Krishnamoorthy (13), Jack Hale (13) and Mithun Jain (16) proved a spirited tail but Sefton were eventually dismissed for 102 in 36.5 overs
