The First XI welcomed Liverpool to Sefton Park.

After the start was delayed by and hour and a quarter, Liverpool won the toss and decided to field first.. Sefton lost their first two wickets with just 8 runs on the board. Paul Horton then featured in stands of 40 with Haroon Khan (19), 55 with James Stirling (23), 44 with Dan Kelly (23) before being 68 not out as he declared on 151 for 5 in 45 overs.

As the sides left the field following the declaration, the rains started and the game was eventually called off at 5:30. So it was 5 points each with Sefton remaining at the top of the table with a lead of 4 points over Bootle.

The Second XI managed to complete their game at Rainford. The home side won the toss and decided to bat first.

They made steady progress with a best stand of 41 for the sixth wicket and eventually reached 155 all out in 37.5 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Naimat Karyab who took 5 for 30 assisted by Tom Spilsbury with 2 for 22. and Jack Lavery 2 for 21

In reply, opener Luke Connolly scored 24, Sam Parkinson proved the backbone to the innings with a score of 50 in 38 balls but in the end Sefton were indebted to Scott Aitchison who steered them to a one wicket victory with a score of 36 not out including an undefeated stand of 10 for the last wicket.

The Seconds have now moved up to fourth in the table after being bottom a few weeks ago.




The Third XI travelled to play South Liverpool. Sefton won the toss and asked the home side to bat first.

They scored 126 all out in 34.1 overs with Chris Mitchell taking 5 for 46, James Woods 2 for 51and Faizal Malikzai 2 for 20

The rains came in this game with Sefton on 23 for 7.


The Fourth XI welcomed Ormskirk's Thirds to the Lower Ground

The visitors batted first and declared on 177 for 6 in 39 overs.

Great efforts were made to get the game going again which they did but eventually the rain became too heavy and Sefton finished on 78 for 3 in 23 overs. Joash Vinu finished on 29 not out
