The First XI game at Bootle was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Apparently the wicket was left uncovered overnight.

The Second XI welcomed Wallasey to Sefton Park and after some mopping up the game started half an hour late. Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first. Sefton soon lost wickets and were 41 for 5. Rhys Owen (6) joined Pajesh Shukla in the middle and took the score to 73 for 6. Dave Kelly and Prajesh then put on 72 for the seventh wicket before Pajesh was run out for 52. Dave Kelly then continued his attack on the Wallasey bowling and was 113 not out in 71 balls as Sefton declared on 230 for 9 in 45 overs.

In reply Wallasey, made good progress after losing their first wicket on 24 and reached 206 for 4 as we neared the end of the last 20 overs. In the end 6 runs were required off the last over bowled by Dave Kelly, a wicket fell off the second ball and Wallasey were left needing 2 off the last ball. Their batter was run out going for the second. and the scores finished level as the visitors finished on 230 for 6 in 48 overs, so scores level in a drawn game. Dave Kelly finished with 3 for 57

In reply after the Sefton opening bats were dismissed, Navi Singh set about the Liverpool bowlers scoring a very rapid 87 enabling Sefton to pass the Liverpool total in the 24th over with 6 wickets down.
