Rainford were the visitors to Sefton Park for the Second XI's last game of the season.

The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. At 59 for 4, it looked like Sefton would be able to bowl them out but they recovered to eventually declare on 167 for 6 in 45 overs. Dave Kelly took 3 for 47.

Kaash Patel made 27 of Sefton's 35 runs when he was Sefton's first wicket to fall. A third wicket stand of 104 between Jeremy Rogers (57 not out) and Dave Kelly (56) took them to 154 and they were able to pass the Rainford total with no more wickets falling in 36.5 overs.
