The First XI welcomed old rivals Bootle to Sefton Park. The visitors won the toss and decided to field.

Sefton's in form opening pair were soon amongst the runs and put on 166 for the first wicket with Chris Bellis being out for 63 and Ben Percival out for 103 in 120 balls when the score was 195 for 3. Paul Horton scored 38 not out and Huzaifa Zubair 29 not out to enable Sefton to declare on 274 for 4 in 54 overs.

In reply Huzaifa Zubair took a wicket with the second ball of the Bootle innings. Bootle's best stand was 45 for the fifth wicket but they never got on top of the Sefton bowling and were dismissed for 150 in 45 overs. Jimmy Dixon finished with 3 for 22, Rahemm Kasser 3 for 37 and Ayan Madhu 2 for 9.

Next week's game is the return fixture at Bootle

New Brighton's Thirds were the Third XI's opponents on the Lower Ground

The visitors won the toss and elected to field. Sefton put on 49 for the first wicket with James Daniels scoring 16 and Adam Taylor 34.. Paul Morris scored 28 and Sefton were dismissed for 156 in 43 overs.

The visitors reply did not begin well and they were eventually dismissed for 121 with Chris Mitchell and Dan Shakeel taking wickets

The Fourth XI travelled to play Bootle's Thirds

Sefton batted first and were dismissed for 137 with Kashif Patel scorin43 not out and Tom Summers 32.

In reply, Bootle passed the Sefton total with 5 wickets down. Andy Fallows took 3 for 46 and Tom Summers 2 for 10
