17th & 19th June...Third XI Knocked out of two cups

On Sunday 17th June, the Third XI played Wallasey in the Mike Leddy Cup, a game moved to Sefton Park with the Wallasey ground not available. Wallasey batted first and scored 174 for 7 in their 20 overs with Terry Macklin taking 2 for 36 and Tim Gray 2 for 20. The Sefton inning started fairly well with Paul Morris scoring 44 and Adnan Fazal 22 but then collapsed with none of the last 7 batsmen reaching double figures. They were dismissed for 130 in 31.2 overs.

Two days later, they were in action again playing South Liverpool at Sefton Park. South Liverpool batted first and scored quickly until a hat trick from Charlie Daniels in the last over slowed them down a little. They finished on 149 for 8 in 20 overs.
