Friday 1st June...Defeat at Bootle in National T20 but win by Thirds in Embee

The First XI travelled to Bootle in the second round of the National T20. They won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. Keeping them down to 136 for 5 with Phil Calrow taking 2 for 17, there was some hope of victory. In reply, Sefton were never able to keep up with the run rate and finished on 107 for 8 with Richie Conlan scoring 20 in 14 balls and Daniel Kelly 32 in 35 balls.

The Third XI welcomed Rainhill to Sefton Park in the Embee Trophy. Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first. Connor Melia, opening the batting, scored an excellent 100 not out, just managing to reach the ton as the overs ran out. He was assisted by Harvey Till with 20 and Paul Morris with 17 in a total of 192 for 6. Rainhill never looked like reaching the total and finished on 84 for 9 with Chris Mitchell taking 2 for 26, Lewis Scott 3 for 13 and Paul Morris 2 for 11. They now play South Liverpool in the next round, scheduled for the 24th June
