Sunday 29th April....Two defeats

Neil Disley's Third XI made the short journey to Liverpool to play their Third XI.

Sefton won the toss and asked Liverpool to bat first. Chris Mitchell took 4 for 38 as the home side declared on 160 for 6 in 48 overs. In reply Sefton started well with Matt Child scoring 26 and Connor Melia 27 but after that, only Paul Morris made a considerable contribution with 35 and they were dismissed for 137 in the 41st over.

This year, we will see South Liverpool playing at Sefton Park on a Sunday, alternating with the Sefton Park Sunday XI. This week, they were the home side against the Sunday XI.

Sefton won the toss and decided to field and Joel Parkinson took 5 for 19 and Terry Macklin 2 for 9 as they were dismissed for 166 in 52.2 overs. Mike Lowe (23), Richie Conlan (24), Syed Buckari (21) and Joel Parkinson (41 runs) scored runs for Sefton but they were dismissed for 146 in the 41st over and lost by 20 runs.
