Sunday 15th May.....First XI through in Ray Digman Knockout

"Super Sunday" with three knockout games was somewhat spoilt by non-availabilty of some players. However, other players coming in took their chances well.

The First XI managed to defeat Spring View at Sefton Park.

The visitors batted first and scored 193 for 9 in their 45 overs. Daniel Kelly took 2 for 48, Matt Pownall 2 for 53 and Sean Vandome 3 for 30. In reply, Sefton found themselves on 97 for 5 in 28 overs and the visitors looked favourites but Richie Forsyth who finished on 22 and Daniel Kelly took the score to 156 for 6 and after losing another wicket, Matt Garnett (16 not out) helped Daniel Kelly (54 not out) steer the side to a 3 wicket victory with an over to spare.

The Second XI travelled to Spring View in the Chester Cup and were unfortunately defeated in a game of 529 runs. Spring View won the toss and decided to bat first, going on to score a massive 275 for 9 in their 45 overs.
